Case Study #1: We had a 9 year old child who failed their proficiency swim at his surf club. This meant that he could not swim 25m safely. Thus, they could not participate in water activities. This child did not like swimming, their strokes were very poor and they had failed level 5 at his local swimming school three times. JJ took over as his swim instructor, and within 18 months he had:
Completed Level 11
The fastest swimmer in their age group at his surf club
Qualified for the finals at the State Surf Lifesaving championship
Has state level swimming times, this means that they are fast enough to be allowed to compete at State level swimming competitions. This is a very high level.
Considers a 750m open water swimming race too short!
Loves swimming.
Case Study #2:
We have a six year old who has been with JJ for about 18 months; this child’s progress has been outstanding:
The child has just completed their first 2km open water swim, and loved it!
Is close to getting State qualifying times for 9 year olds!
Is highly motivated and loves swimming.
There are many many more case studies that we could list; these would include successfully working with children with AD/HD, those with autism, children that have gotten stuck at a particular swimming level at other swim schools etc.
The ICT program, and the skill and dedication of our team, means that your child is likely to progress much faster, and enjoy the process.
We are not looking to create swimmers who can just survive. We are looking to help create swimmers who will develop a passion for swimming and high level competence, whilst enjoying themselves.
Learn to thrive, not just survive!
